Archives: -Ah the Agony
of it all! Bet you thought I was all dead :-p. I should really get someone to update this site for me, but oh well. I've been working on Ravenhurst almost feverishly lately and so far I have about 27 maps either done or near completion, so it won't be that long to a release of some sort (Like I haven't said that before ;-) ). Unfortunatly right when I made the finishing touch on my latest map the VIS compiler decided to give me an error, which will take some time finding and fixing-and that can be pretty frustrating especially when that map has more than 4000 brushes and takes a LONG time to compile, hohum. In case you're wondering I didn't just come here to whine ;-), I've updated the links section and I also found a place for my Hexen and Heretic mp3's: Use a FTP Program (There's a link to CuteFTP in the Links Section) and use this info: Address: magus.student.umd.edu Yes it's kind of an hassle and a little slow, but it's better than nothing for now. Also check out Sidhe Priest's new site: Cloud Fortress Labs: He's got a lot of nice remixes of the Hexen/Heretic songs. Lastly here's a few shots of that level I'm having problems with, enjoy and cya! -Happy New
Years! I hope everyone had a great Christmas (Or Hanukah) and a got what they wanted this year. If you haven't already check out Aenn Seidhe Priest's great re-renderings of classic Heretic and Hexen tracks. I've returned to work on Ravenhurst and hopefully I'll have something for you all soon, until then have a great time everyone and enjoy the new year! Wow, time sure does fly when you're busy, looking down at my last update it's been a long time since I last updated this site. As today's very imaginatives headline states yes I'm still working on Ravenhurst. with about 18 complete maps and even more in development I'm thinking about releasing the first part in the near future but I haven't finalized it yet. Hopefully you all won't have to wait for the whole thing to be done to play it. On another note the folks over at Fileplanet.com finally uploaded my high resolution textures for jHeretic and jHexen which I made a long time ago, there should be some links to them on Doomsdayhq.com pretty soon but here's the URL's to download them right now as well as a few screenshots of them in-game, enjoy: Heretic
Texture Pack -New Site Design
+ Screens. Yep, I redesigned the site (again) but I'm very pleased with it and I hope you like it too. I've also got some new screenies to show that we're not totally dead over here, well not all of us ;-). I was going to show the updated skin for the maulotaur but I can't find a pallete for Hexen II to use with Paint Shop Pro 7, which sucks :-p. Also we're still looking for people who have talents in the sound and skinning areas, so if you want to help or know someone who wants to, drop me a line! I'm going to be very busy for the next several weeks because of school and exams but you can expect things to get moving along afterwords, in the meantime enjoy the screens!
-Downloads
Page Back up! All of the links on the download page should now be fixed with the exception of the Hexen mp3s which I haven't uploaded yet. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused anyone. Also someone sent me some Hexen II icons they made and I'll post them up soon. Whoever sent me them could you please send me an e-mail so I can give you credit, I lost the original. -Progress Update. The last couple of days I've been working with the skybox support for NewHexen, found this cool terrain program called Terragen which can make some really nice terrains, it's not that hard either. Here's a few pics of some terrains I managed to make right away: Pic-1, Pic-2, Pic-3, Pic-4, Pic-5, Pic-6, Pic-7, Pic-8, Pic-9, Pic-10. Well it's actually quite a few :-p. The good news is that I'll be able to make custom skymaps for Ravenhurst rather easily! On another note I'd like to give my support to the former employess of Team Dynamix, a great game studio which was unfortunatly owned by Sierra and recently shut down. I enjoyed Tribes 2 immensely and still do to this day and it really saddens me to hear aother great company fall due to some stupid ceo's, well, stupidity. Even if Sierra continues the Tribes franchise it won't be the same without the original team that poured their hearts and souls into the first two. I hope everyone who lost their jobs find better ones soon as many people on those teams have families to support and that whoever is responsible will get what's coming to them. -The Site is Back
up! Although unfortunatley you won't be able to download anything yet, but that should be fixed soon. -NewHexen Released! NewHexen, which adds some great features to Hexen II such as fog, colored lighting, animation interpolation and more has been released! Ravenhurst will take full advantage of the features this source port has to offer, so if you haven't already click here to go to the official NewHexen site and download yourself a copy now! -New Heretic and
Hexen MP3's. This is not really related to Ravenhurst but I converted the midis from Heretic and Hexen into Mp3s and thought I'd share them with everyone else, Check out the Downloads to download them. Great for burning on some CDs or with a Mp3 player. -New Heretic/Hexen
Icon Files. Woah it's been awhile since I last updated this site, well the team is still here, I've been working on the maps a lot lately and Dustdevil has been hard at work on the code as well. Dustdevil informed me that he's going to be moving, so wish him luck! On another note I made quite a few icons from the Hexen and Heretic games and posted them up in the Downloads section, enjoy. I also might post a pic of the new map I've been working on, we'll see. Lastly we are still in need of people who can skin and model, so if you want some info on joining please e-mail me. |
